A Quick Spring 2025 HVAC To-Do List For Lowcountry Families
Earlier this year Travis gave us our pre-spring to-do list for Lowcountry families and with spring now on our doorstep (despite our cooler temps), I’d like to dig in and give you some new items you can do this spring in preparation for the upcoming summertime season and activities.
With summer not very far away, it’s especially important for you and your family to get your heating & air conditioning needs taken care of — before that summertime heat moves in this year.
To help you out, I’ve put together a very quick list of items to get you and your family started this spring.
1. Sign Up For An HVAC Maintenance Plan
Travis also mentioned this, but if you haven’t signed up for an annual HVAC maintenance plan yet, spring is a really great time to do so.
Many HVAC maintenance plans include annual visits in the spring (before summer) and in the fall (before winter) to make sure your system is primed and ready for those extreme weather seasons.
2. Schedule Your Maintenance Appointment
Going along with number 1 above, if you have a maintenance plan in place, now is the time to reach out to your local HVAC contractor to get on their schedule.
For many HVAC companies, spring fills up with maintenance appointments so if you want to make sure you get your preferred time & day, get in touch with your local team early this spring.
3. Check Your Thermostat Settings
With summer ahead and your system maintenance plans in place, now is also a good time to double check your thermostat settings for the summer.
Everyone has different schedules and routines throughout the year, so your temperature settings in your home will need to be personalized for your family’s schedule and comfort.
4. Get Some Fresh Air
Perhaps not the case for all homes and situations in our area, but springtime temperatures can allow you to open up the windows of your home and let some fresh air in.
Between summer’s heat & humidity and our cold season here in the Lowcountry, it’s often the case that air can feel stale inside your home.
Springtime is a great opportunity to recycle that air before those temperatures start peaking out again in the Charleston area.
We all know how warm summertime can get here in the Lowcountry, but with a little help from your local heating & air team, you and your family can rest a little easier this year in the Charleston metro area.
